Throughout the years, we will focus on a variety of developmental milestones tailored to our age group.
(12-19 months by October 1st)
I will be sending daily updates on our school app called Brightwheel. The easiest way to reach me is via Brightwheel as it is easy and quick for me to reply.
My name is Joelle Mondo and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I have been working at MMO Programs since September 2011 starting as an aftercare assistant working with all age groups. After graduating from Felician University in 2016 with my bachelors in Biology, I took on the role as Lead teacher of the Ladybugs program. I earned my Child Development Associate Certification in 2017. The objective of my class is to foster the foundation for the years to come at MMO and the children’s early years in development and education. In my spare time, I enjoy making memories with my son and spending time with family. I love the NJ JETS and football Sundays!
Our nurturing and knowledgeable caregivers provide the ultimate care for our youngest students. Current research in child development demonstrates that touching, holding, cuddling, and speaking to infants actually facilitates brain growth during this time of rapid development.
Our superior 1:2 adult/child ratio allows our caregivers to provide relationship-driven care, developing a trusting bond with your toddler while you’re away. We believe a strong family-school relationship is vital in providing optimal care for our young toddlers. Additionally, we will explore a range of themes, which will enhance our learning experiences throughout the year. Those themes may include:
Each day, your child should come to school with: a backpack, AM and PM snacks, a lunch inside a lunchbox, and a water bottle (filled at home). These items need to be CLEARLY LABELED with your child’s name. Breakfast ends at 8:30 am. If your child is staying past 5 pm, please provide a snack or meal. Hard sole shoes must be worn daily.
A small stuffed animal, lovey or pacifier is okay to bring for rest time (or leave here at school). Please no electronic or fragile items. We are not responsible for broken or lost items.
If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home. This helps them to heal faster, but also keeps their peers and teachers healthy. Be sure to send me a message on brightwheel if you know your child will not be attending school.
If your child is sent home from school due to illness, they MAY NOT RETURN THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL DAY. For example, if they are sent home on a Monday, the earliest they may return is Wednesday las long as they are symptom free for 24 hours without the aid of medication).
We will be going outside and/or to the gym regularly.
Please note, while we do our best to follow the same structure every day, our scheduled times may vary as necessary to the children’s needs.
We will have a morning Spanish class with Ms. Martha. She will introduce us to basic concepts in Spanish. In the afternoons, we have Music with Miss Deirdre. Please contact the office for more information.

Throughout the year, we take great pleasure in celebrating various events as a community. We invite you to join us for our annual Fall Festival, Thanksgiving Feast, classroom holiday parties, Special Person’s Day, and end-of-year celebrations. Your participation in these events enriches our community and fosters a sense of connection among families and staff.
If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday in class, please feel free to contact me via brightwheel or email. Some families choose to send in individual goody bags for students to take home or provide a treat to share during am/pm snack.
Additionally, if parents, grandparents, or other special adults would like to visit the class to read a story in honor of your child, we can certainly arrange that as well. Thank you for your participation in making these celebrations special!
Reach out if you have questions or comments. We’d love to hear from you!
